Alexander Coutts

Alexander Coutts was interviewed by SIC Notícias, within the scope of his ongoing study on the Racial Bias Around the World. According to his studies, Portugal is among the countries with the highest racial prejudice (26th place in the world), where more than 70% of the participants showed a bias pro-white. However, racism is a taboo topic in our country. "Not only it is not discussed, but also, when trying to debate the topic, people tend to react in a negative way." The professor was also cited by Visão magazine in an article on racial discrimination.

Daniel Traça

Daniel Traça was at SIC Notícias to comment on the impacts of the pandemic on the tourism sector. He took stock of the year 2020, considering all the changes generated by the COVID-19’s pandemic that led to a brake on the growth of tourism, one of the main drivers of the economy. “It is estimated that until September tourist revenues have dropped about 56%, and that there was a decrease of 14% in the employment in this sector. We must now endow tourism companies with the necessary capital so that they become ready for the recovery that will happen in the second half of 2021.”

António Nogueira Leite

António Nogueira Leite, in an interview to ECO on the € 2 billion in toxic assets, such as bad loans or real estate, stated that “in Portugal, most of the bad debt is being resolved, but a new wave is expected.” “Moratoriums are postponing this wave everywhere, and that is especially important in Portugal considering the percentage of credit that is covered by this measure”, he explained. To Tempestade Perfeita (Rádio Observador) he returned to the topic of TAP and how the company's sustainability is still uncertain. The remaining programs for December can be heard here.

Miguel Pina e Cunha

Miguel Pina e Cunha, with Francisco Froes, MBA Nova - Católica, and Arménio Rego, from Católica Porto Business School, wrote in Jornal Expresso about “Seven challenges for future leaders: lessons from the crisis”. According to the authors, during the crises the followers are mobilized when they find direction and support in the middle of the “storm”. In this context, leading is much more than directing and commanding. Miguel Pina e Cunha and Arménio Rego were also co-authors of an article in Human Resources magazine about leadership neutralizers in public organizations.

Susana Peralta

Susana Peralta, to Exame, spoke about the support for recovery in Portugal and the time it takes to reach those in need. To Dinheiro Vivo she spoke about Social Insertion Income and how people look at it as being "low, bureaucratic and time-consuming", she said. In RTP3, Susana commented on what is expected in 2021, the year of vaccine against COVID-19 (a topic she covered also on Rádio Renascença), elections, and also the Portuguese presidency of the European Union Council. The future of TAP continues to be debated and Susana Peralta addressed the issue in Antena1.

Pedro Pita Barros

Pedro Pita Barros, about the COVID-19’s vaccine, said to Expresso that “the Portuguese population will be more confident as soon as the vaccine becomes available”, stressing that “confidence fall from March to August, and has stabilized in recent months. Most people are afraid, but not against the vaccine. It is likely that the information released and the potential to make a difference in everyone's life will eventually overcome this fear.” Pedro Pita Barros also maintains his collaboration with Gabinete de Crise (Observador radio). The December programs can be heard here.
