The Alumni Lounge hosted a reimagined edition of our annual media gathering: a brunch in a speed dating format that brought together journalists and researchers for a morning of quick, idea-packed conversations.
This year’s Press Preview broke away from traditional presentations. Instead, it offered tailored, face-to-face meetings, allowing the media to engage directly with the researchers behind the projects shaping the future.
Each journalist arrived with a pre-selected list of projects they were most interested in. In turn, each researcher delivered personalized 3-minute pitches, ensuring every conversation was relevant, focused, and impactful.
The dynamic format fostered deeper understanding and built meaningful connections between the press and the academic community — all over coffee and brunch. It was a morning of fresh ideas, fast-paced inspiration, and new collaborations.

Consider this: 71% of leaders would rather hire less experienced candidates with AI skills (Microsoft Work Trend Index, 2024). The World Economic Forum (2023) predicts 44% of workers' skills will be disrupted in the next five years. Knowledge that used to stay relevant for decades now becomes outdated in months.
Don’t worry, there is hope. By developing learning agility, you can rapidly adapt to new situations and continue to evolve your skills.
You should focus on 5 aspects: mental agility lets you tackle problems from different angles; people agility helps you work with humans and AI; change agility means leading transformation (not resist it); results agility ensures you perform well in unfamiliar territory; and self-awareness guides your ongoing growth.
Want to get started? Try volunteering for projects outside your comfort zone. Treat failures as learning opportunities. Reflect on what works and what doesn't. And cultivate a growth mindset. Learning agility offers a pathway to thriving in our AI-driven future.
We are now researching how people's stress perceptions around AI affect their work experience and have been training companies to improve their skills. If you want to increase your AI skills, contact us!
