    Nova SBE Innovation Ecosystem has just opened the call for applications for the 3rd edition of Project X.

    Over 7 weeks, teams of selected students will have the opportunity to work with our corporate partners, including Banco Primus, Brisa and NOS solving real-world business challenges posed by these incredible organizations.

    Project X is an opportunity to tackle real business challenges by applying the Design Thinking Methodology.

    Participating in Project X will enable you to gain valuable experience, expand your network, and contribute to real-world solutions.

    Hacking the Business Model

    Nova SBE Innovation Ecosystem has just opened the applications for the 1st edition of Hackathon with EY.

    Scheduled for October 21st, this 8-hour intensive ideation session aims to tackle a real-world business challenge faced by one of the world's leading accounting and professional services firms.
     
    EY executives and Nova SBE students will be teamed up to create, develop, plan and design an innovative solution for a given challenge, in an intensive creative-problem-solving ecosystem.

  • Delta Open Mind

    A collaborative program for shaping future-focused solutions

    Ready to supercharge your innovation skills? Join the Delta Open Mind program and collaborate with Delta Cafés executives to solve real-world challenges.

    Employees of Delta Cafés and Master's students from Nova SBE are teamed to create, develop, plan, and design an innovative solution throughout a 3-stage journey: Open Mind Check-in, Open Mind Hackathon, and Open Mind Sprint


    The Open Mind Hackathon is an innovative marathon that brings together employees of Delta Cafés and Master's students from Nova SBE. This program takes place over a check-in mix&match and two intensive days, challenging participants to collaborate in a dynamic and creative environment to address the strategic challenges of the OPEN MIND Program. The focus is on creating solutions that reflect the proposed strategic scenarios.

    The Open Mind Sprint, after the Hackathon, is where teams develop innovative ideas using Design Thinking and Design Sprint.

    Delta Open Mind is an intensive five-week journey, designed to test, validate, and accelerate early-stage ideas, to evolve from creative concepts to viable and robust business models. The program culminates in the preparation of comprehensive business cases, presented to a panel of decision-makers and stakeholders.

  • Hackathon with Secil

    Nova SBE Innovation Ecosystem and Secil join forces for a groundbreaking Hackathon

    Nova SBE's Innovation Ecosystem is set to host its first-ever hackathon in collaboration with Secil, a leading cement producer. 


    This groundbreaking event, scheduled for January 13th, aims to tackle real-world challenges in the construction industry through innovative problem-solving. The 10-hour intensive session will bring together Secil executives and Nova SBE students in a dynamic environment designed to spark creativity and foster practical solutions.

Innovation Skills Accelerator Modules

During the academic year Nova SBE Master Students can complete two modules of the Skills Accelerator within the Nova SBE Innovation Ecosystem projects - Design Thinking and BOX.

Design Thinking 

1st Semester, 15 & 16 January [closed]

2nd Semester, 4 & 5 June

Twice a year, Nova SBE Innovation Ecosystem offers the Design Thinking Module exclusively for Master's students, as part of the Skills Accelerator Program, transversal to all Nova SBE's Master's programs.

The two-day Design Thinking module offered by Nova SBE Innovation Ecosystem is designed to immerse students in practical, hands-on learning. 


The Design Thinking module equips participants with essential skills to tackle complex challenges and drive innovation in their respective fields and serves as a pivotal experience where theoretical knowledge meets real-world application, preparing students to navigate dynamic environments and contribute meaningfully to future projects and endeavors.

BOX

1st Semester, 22-24 January [closed]
2nd Semester, 16-18 June

Twice a year, BOX is a Business Open Experience that invites companies to take the risk and rethink businesses.

For 3 days, students are organized into teams to create, develop, plan and design an innovative solution for a given organizational challenge, in an intensive creative-problem-solving ecosystem.  

The objective is to find solutions to the main strategic challenges companies currently face and responses needed to ensure the future of business.

Through collaborative sessions and hands-on activities, BOX aims to deliver a response to the challenges regarding organisation's businesses, pitching possible solutions and a low-key demo to showcase it.
