The OUI Society was formed more than 20 years ago, by 10 academic colleagues from different fields that shared the same interest in open source and user innovation activities. It emerged as a need of building an intellectual home to share and disseminate their individual learnings and ended up giving birth to a new research field in Open & User Innovation.

The OUI Society serves as more than a repository for interdisciplinary research, extending its influence to enrich established fields and shape tomorrow.

Our commitment unfolds through a dynamic annual conference, sparking local OUI activities and foring connections that transcent the event.

Beyond the conference, we aspire to extend our unique expertise, channelling research into ventures for genuine social and economic impact.
